Who We Are
Our History
SCU Safety Training Providers and SHEQ Consultants is a proudly South African, 100% black-owned full-service health and safety training and SHEQ services company based in Gauteng Province, South Africa. It has offices in Johannesburg and East London.
SCU Training was founded by its dynamic leader, Mrs Vuyelwa Ude. Mrs Ude has vast field experience as well as relevant qualifications. She worked for Murray and Roberts at one of the biggest projects in South Africa MEDUPI. She also acquired her skills from her extensive work at ESKOM, as a Safety Practitioner. SCU is an accredited training provider with HWSETA: Accreditation number HW591PA162679.
Our mission
Our mission statement is to assist employers, supervisors and workers to understand, comply with, and implement Health and Safety Legislation in an effort to eliminate workplace injuries and illnesses. We achieve this by conducting audits to inform A-grade health and safety training, compliance, safety files and systems.

Our goal is to exceed the expectations of every client by offering outstanding customer service, increased flexibility, and greater value, thus optimising system functionality and improving operation and health and safety efficiency. Our associates are distinguished by their functional, hands-on expertise combined with their experience, thereby ensuring that our clients receive the most effective and professional service.

Our Health and safety training services
OWNER
Mrs. Vuyelwa Ude founded SCU Training in 2013. Her management style is innovative and she has vast experience in the field together with relevant qualifications. She worked for Murray and Roberts at one of the biggest projects in South Africa, MEDUPI. She also acquired her skills from ESKOM Rotek Industries, working as a Safety Practitioner.
Behind her, there are consultants who have extensive years of experience in legislation and risk management dealing with Occupational Health and Safety Management.
Her clients know that SCU takes pride in their service delivery.
